Delayed Reaction

What happens when engineers, CEO's, entrepreneurs, and successful businessmen hit middle age? Why, of course, they start a rock and roll band. When the mid-life crisis hits talented and passionate people, it sometimes spurs a burst of creativity and that's exactly what it did for the members of "Delayed Reaction", a band that I caught at Elizabeth's in New Milford CT recently. These guys and gals perform songs from the era when we all sang the same songs, dreamed the same dreams, and shared a common cultural heritage; in other words, the 60's, 70's, and 80's, with dash of 90's and 50's for good measure. I submit there is no truer, more inspiring sound, than a live performance by a band such as "Delayed Reaction", in a real setting, somewhere in America...
